I am Barry Williams, Director of Customer Relations at the Practice Advisory Group. I want to share with you today, how and why Practice Advisory Group was created specifically for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. We work with Residents, Associates, Existing Practitioners who want to start/join/buy a practice and/or have their business solutions outsourced to a practice management company.

How: It was created with the input of financial experts including tax attorneys, accountants, professional money managers, financial advisors, practicing Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, and surgeons of multiple specialties located all across the country.

Why: We all came together with one main goal in mind, to create a company that helps the surgeon maximize the dollars being billed, collected, and saved which thereby not only improves their financial well being, but also their overall quality of life.

The Practice Advisory Group recognizes that practitioners have a unique set of responsibilities that include both patient care and financial well being. Doctors are given little to no education on how to run a small business, but have the clinical expertise to warrant opening up their own practice. In most cases, a single OMS practitioner should be generating anywhere from 1-3 million dollars in revenue. With that amount of revenue being generated the clinical responsibilities alone can be overwhelming and when you add that to the business side of things, which is usually done at the expense of personal or family time, it becomes a very heavy burden to bear.
